Aurelie showcases lomography art
MBABANE – Alliance Francaise had an exhibition, to celebrate the work of a renowned graphic designer and photographer, Aurelie Biewesch.
The exhibition was held at Swazi.com Art Gallery, on Tuesday. The main aim of the exhibition was to introduce the public to lomographic designing. Biewesch has travelled to the four corners of the globe in search of the authenticity of diverse cultures through the viewfinder of her cameras.
From this passion for the poor quality photography, more commonly known as lomography, Biewesch created intense snapshots both in contrast and colour. The art gallery was filled with breathtaking pieces of work by Biewesch.
Archie Magwaza owner of Swazi.com art gallery and Laurence Amigues, who is the Alliance Francaise director, provided explanations as people took tours around the exhibition room on the different portraits.
Amigues said she was pleased with the number of people who had attended the event and even urged more people to familiarise themselves with art and make it their part-time activity.
The event was attended by people from the business sector, lawyers, company chief executive officers and both local and international artists.
