MBABANE – South African DJ, television personality and businesswoman DJ Zinhle Jiyane has been announced for Phase 1 of the fifth edition of the Makoti Festival.

Joining DJ Zinhle for Phase one is local Gospel sensation Nothando Hlophe of A New Dawn  Hlophe is currently promoting her latest album following a tour of Taiwan and several provinces in South Africa. Other local artists joining the Phase 1 line-up include Velemseni, Gifted Kosie, Culolami, Ash and Nelson X. The roster also features Mozambique’s DJ Skywhite.

The announcement was released by the Makoti Festival Executive. Further artists and DJs will be announced as the build-up to the festival begins.

The Makoti Festival returns for its fifth edition on April 25, 2026 at the Malkerns Country Club. The event is a full day of live music, fashion and cultural exchange intended to celebrate women.

The festival, now marking its fifth year, is a cultural celebration. Tickets are now available across all major selling platforms, including Computicket, Howler, Moja Ticket and the festival’s official website.

As the build-up to the festival intensifies, fans should expect a series of announcements in the coming weeks regarding more artists, DJs and special guests who will headline the 2026 edition.

The fourth edition of the Makoti Festival was held on April 26, 2025 at the Malkerns Country Club, featuring local and international acts. The event brought together artists and DJs from four countries: South Africa, Lesotho, Botswana and Mozambique.

Since its inception in April 2022, the Makoti Festival has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated festivals. The 2026 Makoti Festival continues its mission as a family-oriented cultural celebration rooted in Eswatini traditions. The festival honours women, including those who are married, unmarried and young girls.
