NEW YORK - Former President Bill Clinton was spotted in New York City on Sunday with a curious sight on his face.
The 42nd president was spotted alongside his wife, former First Lady and later Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with a bandage on his face as the duo cheered on their daughter Chelsea at the finish line of the New York City Marathon.
The bandage, covering up a mysterious injury, is just the latest sign of the 79-year-old former president’s deteriorating health.
Earlier this year, he was spotted on an airport tarmac with a defibrillator close to him.
A health scare last year sent him to the hospital with a fever and suspected dehydration and yet still that was far from the most serious ailment the former president is known to have had.
In 2004, he had a quadruple bypass operation to clear severe arterial blockages. The following year, he underwent treatment for a collapsed lung.
In 2010, doctors performed another open-heart surgery to remove an obstruction and inserted two stents.
