They say yes to Jan's mandate
A fortnight ago, I raised the issue of Swaziland Federation of Trade Unions (SFTU) Secretary General Jan Sithole—who has now been appointed spokesperson for the world workers under the International Labour Organisation (ILO) banner—and asked if he had been mandated by workers to call for sanctions against Swaziland.
I asked you to; If you are a worker affiliated to the SFTU and were part of a resolution to mandate Jan to call for multi-parties and a constitutional monarch in Swaziland, just send a ‘YES’ SMS to 84637.
Thank you for the response and from the SMSes received, 90 per cent said ‘YES’ which is a very interesting development. Pity the media missed out on this all important meeting where this decision was taken.
