MBABANE – Early bird and Phase One tickets for the MTN Bushfire Festival 2027 have sold out in record time.
The Festival organisers took to their social media pages confirming that online Early Bird and Phase 1 tickets were exhausted within 30 minutes of going on sale.
According to organisers, the festival has now moved to Phase 2 pricing for both online Golden Lounge and Main Arena tickets. The rapid sell-out marks one of the fastest responses in the history of the internationally acclaimed festival.
Organisers expressed gratitude to the thousands of loyal festivalgoers, known as Fire Starters, who waited eagerly for the official launch of ticket sales. They said the overwhelming response demonstrated the enduring passion of the festival community as the event prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary under the theme Bring Your Fire.
The MTN Bushfire Festival will return to House On Fire in Malkerns, Eswatini, from May 28-30, 2027. The three-day celebration is renowned for its conscious programme of music, arts, culture, connection and positive change and has become one of Africa’s leading multidisciplinary festivals.
Organisers have urged festivalgoers to secure their tickets early to avoid disappointment, as demand continues to rise.
For local festivalgoers, specially discounted tickets have been made available. Eswatini-based Fire Starters can access the discounted rate via the MTN MoMo WhatsApp Marketplace, which is exclusive to local attendees with a valid Mobile Money account. To purchase, customers are required to send “Hi” to 7808 4000 on WhatsApp, select MTN Bushfire and follow the prompts.
In addition, every qualifying ticket will include a complimentary MTN Lula Combo and festival WiFi, courtesy of MTN Eswatini, which is the Title Sponsor and Official Connectivity Partner of the festival. Organisers said an active MTN Eswatini number is required to redeem the offer, with a free eSIM available for those who need one.
The 2027 edition is expected to be particularly significant as it marks two decades of the festival’s commitment to inclusive, socially conscious and environmentally sustainable arts programming. Since its inception, MTN Bushfire has attracted artists and audiences from across Africa and around the globe.
