MBABANE — South African coaches Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala and Mandla Qhogi will collide in Sunday’s PLE Charity Cup semi-finals at Somhlolo National Stadium.
Mosala leads Moneni Pirates into the clash, having made an immediate impact by guiding the ‘Buccaneers’ to the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup title in September via a penalty shootout against former club Mbabane Highlanders.
He faces a formidable adversary in Qhogi, who took charge of Nsingizini Hotspurs in May 2025 following a spell at Milford FC. The former Orlando Pirates reserve coach steered ‘Insingizi Yezulu’ to a historic domestic treble last season, sweeping the MTN Premier League, Ingwenyama Cup and Trade Fair Cup.
Despite Qhogi’s trophy haul, Mosala’s side holds crucial momentum after securing a 1–0 victory in their recent league encounter.
The winner will advance to Sunday evening’s final to contest the E400 000 winner’s cheque. Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize’s Mbabane Highlanders face Ubombo Sugar in the other semi-final.
The draw:
Nsingizini Hotspurs vs Moneni Pirates
Mbabane Highlanders AM vs Ubombo Sugar
