Leopard’s Edwin aims for CONFED Cup group stages

MBABANE – The 2024/25 Ingwenyama Cup Coach of the Tournament, Edwin ‘Porto’ Matsebula declared that his main mandate this season is to reach the Confederation Cup group stages.

The Royal Leopard gaffer was awarded E10 000 and a trophy during the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund (SMVAF)-sponsored tournament gala dinner, which was held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre on Thursday night.

The former Vovovo FC coach guided Ingwe Mabalabala to their maiden Ingwenyama Cup victory, earning them a ticket back to continental football. The police side will now represent the country in the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation (CONFED) Cup.

Speaking after being presented with the E10 000 prize money and a trophy by His Majesty King Mswati III, Matsebula said the award has motivated him for the new season.
