MBABANE – Local comedian, Gogo Eswatini is soaring higher, after being part of the Mgoma Gospel Awards activation, adding life in South African streets.

Gogo Eswatini took to his social media pages to thank the organisers of the event for the opportunity to be part of their incredible roadshow activation. “Many thanks to the Mgoma Gospel Awards Team for having us at their activation at Bushbuckridge Mall,we had fun,” he said.

The duo first captured national attention with their viral ‘Lugodvo Kimi’ trend on TikTok, but have since expanded their influence beyond entertainment to champion a cause that strikes at the heart of community wellbeing and social stability. Just before hosting their big Mfowethu uGrend? Camp, Gogo and S’lwane will also host their famous ‘Lugodvo Kimi’comedy show on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Mjejane Private Resort, also based in SA. The comedic duo will also bring along Slim-Bee and Hembe, with whom they started the famous skit on social media platforms. Comedy lovers are in for a treat and should prepare for all-night long giggles. In a bid to tackle men’s mental heath and tackle their issues, the duo, through their Gogo Eswatini  and Slwane Care Foundation will be hosting a weekend-long camp just for the gents. The camp is a unique, men-only initiative dedicated to confronting and addressing mental health challenges among men.

This transformative event is scheduled to take place from December 19 to 21, 2025, at Malolotja Nature Reserve. The ‘Mfowethu uGrend?’ Camp is spearheaded by popular comedians and social media influencers Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane, who have leveraged their widespread appeal and digital presence to create a safe and supportive environment for men to discuss mental health issues openly, topics often shrouded in stigma and silence.

Some of the speakers and panellists for the camp include Ndosh WebeNguni, who will help the gents with opening up emotionally for their safety and their families, Lethumusa Simelane, in this initiative, will be sharpening the gents on being the head of a family and what it means to be a leader. Other distinguished panellists and speakers, include Clement Dlamini, Malungelo Mamba and Dumsani ‘Njobo’ Mamba. Together, these individuals bring a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives that promise to enrich the camp’s discussions and workshops. Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane will serve as hosts, guiding participants through the program’s sessions with empathy and insight. The philosophical foundation of ‘Mfowethu uGrend?’ is powerful and forward-looking. Healing men today is essential for the health, prosperity and stability of future generations. Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane have carefully crafted this camp as a sanctuary where men can confront their struggles without fear of judgment or stigma, recognising the urgent need to address escalating mental health crises among men in Eswatini and beyond.

The duo said the motivation behind the camp was the alarming signs visible in everyday life. “We looked within ourselves, searched within our own families and communities. We read newspapers, saw it on TV and heard about it on the radio. Worse, even our social media timelines are littered with it, from the attempted suicides to the completed ones, to the sexual and gender-based violence. The red flags are all over us, unmistakable. The crisis that is men’s mental ill-health is one we feel we can no longer ignore,” they said.
