Instacash, Joma dress COSSASA squads

MBABANE – Blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives.

This adage rings true for Instacash and Joma Sports South Africa, which have presented kit to the athletics squad that will represent the country in the upcoming Confederation of School Sport Associations of Southern Africa (COSSASA) Games.

The 2026 edition of the regional schools games will be held in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, starting on August 31 to September 3, 2026.

The kit presentation took place at the company premises yesterday and was attended by Instacash Commercial Manager Bongani ‘Tizalam’ Dube and Finance Manager Sakhi Hlophe, who represented Managing Director Mandla ‘Cheeks’ Nxumalo.

Also present were Ministry of Education and Training Senior Inspector Bongani Siyaya, Eswatini Schools Sports Association (ESSA) President Zakhele Myeni, Treasurer Lucky Dlamini and selected pupils.

Speaking during the presentation, Myeni thanked Instacash for their continued support to ESSA after recently sponsoring the 2026 schools games.

He said the kit would boost the confidence of the athletes in the regional games.

“We are now expecting high performance from these outstanding pupils to represent us and we are guaranteed medals as a country,” Myeni said.

The president further revealed that they are sending squads for athletics and football, with the delegation scheduled to depart tomorrow.

“We will send Under-14 and Under-18 teams for athletics, as well as Under-14 and Under-17 teams for football. The football team will be catered for by the Eswatini Football Association,” he said.

He thanked the Ministry of Education and Training for providing transport for the teams and acknowledged the Eswatini Sport and Recreation Council (ESRC) for their support.

Hlophe, speaking on behalf of Nxumalo, expressed hope that the kit would motivate the pupils during the games and noted that they aim to increase the package next year.

Dube stated that the equipment is valued at approximately E30 000, which includes tracksuits and attire for the athletes and four officials, courtesy of Joma.

Siyaya commended the sponsor for dressing the athletics squad, stating that Instacash is demonstrating patriotism by giving back to schools.
