FNB launches enhanced eWallet Plus service BY NHLANGANISO MKHONTA MBABANE - FNB Eswatini has launched eWallet Plus, an enhanced version of its eWallet service that expands customers’ options for sending, receiving and accessing money across different accounts and digital wallets. The upgraded service allows existing FNB customers to forward money received through eWallet to another recipient. It also enables transfers to MTN MoMo and other participating wallets within the Eswatini Payment Switch. Customers can also receive money into eWallet Plus from these participating wallets and other bank accounts, broadening the channels through which they can access funds. FNB Eswatini Executive Head of Retail Dr Mncedzi Ngomane said the upgrade was intended to provide customers with greater flexibility and make banking more accessible. “eWallet has long been a trusted solution for customers who need a simple and convenient way to send money. With the introduction of eWallet Plus, we are expanding those capabilities to provide greater flexibility in how customers send, receive and access funds across different accounts and wallets,” he said. He added that the enhancement reflected the bank’s commitment to responding to customers’ changing financial needs. “This enhancement reflects our commitment to making banking more accessible and meeting our customers’ and all emaSwati’s evolving financial needs,” Ngomane said. Despite the expanded transfer capabilities, eWallet Plus retains key features of the existing service, including zero monthly account fees and cardless cash withdrawals at FNB ATMs nationwide. The service therefore offers customers an alternative for managing everyday transactions and accessing funds without necessarily requiring a bank card. To upgrade to eWallet Plus, customers are required to dial 130321#, select option zero and follow the prompts.
