MBABANE – All is set for a thrilling Sunday of action for motocross and enduro fans, as round five of the championships will take place this weekend.

The Eswatini Motocross Association (EMA) will stage the event at the Exodus MX Track in Edwaleni, Matsapha with action getting underway at 8am.

Riders will begin with warm-up sessions aimed at helping them get a feel for the track and their bikes before the dust starts flying.

This follows a competitive Round Four staged last month. Riders will head into the weekend determined to extend their dominance while some will be aiming to cause some upsets.

In the MX1 class, Blake Young is expected to fight for his crown after his strong form after making a return to the tracks and proclaiming his authority from the third round onwards.

Another rider worth watching is Vaughn Sales, who has consistently refused to trail behind Young without a fight and continues to give spectators value for money with his aggressive style.

Matthew van Zuydam is also expected to maintain his impressive form across multiple categories, particularly in the MX3 and Enduro Pro classes.

In the junior ranks, Mckay Irwin, Aaron van Wyk and Taye Du Pont have been collecting maximum points and are likely to lead the charge once again. The same applies in the Enduro WOW class, where Cameron Geldard has been dominant.

Another category that promises nail-biting battles is the Pro 65cc class, currently led by the closely matched duo of Dreyvan Honwin and Rorke Allmark.

Registration for the championships remains open, and fans are welcome at the gate free of charge. Furthermore, this will be the penultimate round of both the motocross and enduro championships, ahead of the final event scheduled for October.
