MBABANE — After at least half a decade in the game, Eswatini’s most enterprising stand-up comedy and content creation duo, Gogo Eswatini and S’lwane are stepping up the ante in their brand evolution.
Last week Thursday at the Eswatini International Trade Fair, they announced their official website, www.gogoandslwane.com.
Designed as an interactive AI-enabled platform complementing their viral social media presence, the website has been developed to bring the duo even closer to their community through exclusive access to their never-seen-before content, previous shows and a livestream function which will give their diaspora following a gigh definition VIP seat to the duo’s chronically sold-out comedy shows.
Subscription-based for all exclusive content and shows, the website will also allow local audiences to purchase event tickets and merchandise alongside two audio-podcast-style programmes hosted by the duo, with one programme named ‘Siswati Sami: Bungimi Bami, Ligcabho’ hosted by Gogo, focused on Siswati language, Swati traditions and culture education, and S’lwane hosting ‘Tea-Talk with S’lwane’, lifestyle-themed and focused on the childhoods of a fine selection of guests from Eswatini corporate executives to the kingdom’s show-business personalities.
Importantly, and within the duo’s professionalisation ambitions, the website will also have a digital booking platform where all clients can book the duo without picking up the phone or sending an email.
“As the world advances quicker than anything we have ever witnessed, we felt it best to evolve along through this carefully designed website, through which we want all our people to have the front seat in all that happens in our world. A first of its kinds within our sector, we have been intentional on its packaging, as we wanted it to cover all segments of our market, from the personal to corporate in equal measure – and we want to invite all our people to interact with it, not as a substitute to our social media, but as a fitting complement to this,” commented S’lwane.
“Importantly, the website has been developed to advance our ownership ambitions, and total control of our brand’s narrative – and yes, as Eswatini conditions herself for the social media prospects, we felt it best to be a step ahead and create something which will position us a step ahead through this website, which will also give us big control of our value-chain. Within all this, ours then would be to humbly invited bonkhe boSwane baGogo to jump into: www.gogoandslwane.com and experience first-hand the magic we are cooking in that beautiful world of ours,” commented Gogo.
