MBABANE – The Miss Culture Global pageant is proceeding with the inclusion of a contestant from Eswatini in their upcoming edition.

Miss Culture Global Sponsorship and Partnership Director Karabo Mokone confirmed to this publication that Eswatini will be represented this year. “You can report that we have another contestant representing Eswatini this year. To protect her, we shall only reveal her during the boot camp in Liberia,” she said.

Worth noting, a poster is already circulating, posted on the Miss Culture Global Facebook page. The poster is captioned: “Where there is a will, there is a way! Eswatini confirmed, a ticket booked and ready to join the credible and reputable platform.” When asked about the candidate, she explained that her identity would not be disclosed yet to prevent potential intimidation.

“We do not want to put any other girl at risk of harassment or intimidation, so we will only announce her when she is on stage. Like we mentioned, we do care about our contestants’ mental health.

‘‘Also, please note we received about 16 direct applications, some of these girls are based in Eswatini, others outside Eswatini and they have been following what has been written in the local papers. We have received some funds from well-wishers to ensure Eswatini is represented on our platform,” she said. As reported by our publication on August 12, 2025, the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Stanley Dlamini, stated that the participation of Eswatini in the pageant was not officially recognised, as the pageant is not affiliated with the council. According to Dlamini, the poster circulated on social media was a scam as the pageant was not registered locally. The poster had claimed Eswatini would participate in this year’s Miss Culture Global.

Upon seeing the post, this publication had shared the poster with Dlamini to confirm if the council was aware of the pageant and whether the contestant on the poster was truly representing the country. In his response, he had emphasised that representing Eswatini had to be a recognised mandate.
