EZULWINI – Grant Goldstone and Kim Nisbet were yesterday crowned champions of the Eswatini Tourism ‘Nkwe’ Golf Day tournament.

The showpiece was played at the Ezulwini Golf and Country Club and was part of today’s Tourism Indaba Dialogue. Yesterday, golfers from Eswatini, South Africa (SA) and Botswana battled it out on the green course.

Minister for Tourism and Environment Affairs Jane Simelane teed off during the tournament alongside bigwigs who included former Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini, Central Bank Eswatini (CBE) Governor Phil Mnisi and Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) CEO Vusie Dlamini, who was also the winner on the day.

The tournament, which was sponsored by about 15 companies, saw Nisbet and Goldstone crowned champions at around 4pm after accumulating the most points at 46.

They won themselves a white-water rafting day for 16 adults, courtesy of Swazi Trails and Ngwenya Glass.

There were then four ties of 45 points completing the top five, but to be separated by count-backs. However, the ETA CEO climbed to the podium after being declared the men’s longest drive winner, while Phumie Zwane won the women’s category.
