JOHANNESBURG – Sibusiso ‘Swazibolt’Matsenjwa, Eswatini’s retired fastest sprinter, has cleared another hurdle, graduating alongside 110 police officers in Effective Supervisory Skills at the Matsapha Police Academy.
This group of officers, drawn from various police stations, has completed an intensive training programme, accelerating their leadership skills. The Deputy National Commissioner of Police, Simangele Motsa, urged the graduates to sprint towards excellence by exhibiting accountability, upholding ethics and championing human rights.
Sergeant Lucky Dube, representing the participants, said the skills they acquired will be a ‘relay baton’ bridging leadership and subordinates while enhancing discipline, morale and efficiency. Matsenjwa’s next challenge is leading the Athletes Commission to the Exchange Programme in Johannesburg, a marathon of learning and sharing experiences.
The seven-member team, which includes Phumlile Ndzinisa, Smanga Dlamini, Thabiso Dlamini, Robyn Young, Saneliso Masuku and Muzi Shabangu, will take off from King Mswati III International Airport, courtesy of IOC funding and participate in the programme from September 19-23.
