MBABANE – The fifth edition of the Makoti Festival has urged patrons to come dressed in their respective traditional attire.

The festival Director Thembinkosi Mthethwa said since the festival is curated around tradition, what better way to celebrate it other than dressing traditionally. “We know that our traditional attire is very beautiful and we also have an amazing culture in the country. By adorning our imvunulo, this will show tourists the beauty of our attire and also teach them more about it. Since there are also other countries involved in the festival, we hope that the other nations will also come dressed in their traditional wear and there will be an exchange of cultural values,” he said.

The festival urges patrons to get ready to celebrate culture, music and community at the Makoti Festival. Set in the picturesque surroundings of Malkerns Country Club in Eswatini, the festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Mark your calendars for April 25-26, 2026, as the event brings together an exciting line-up of artists and performers, who will be announced soon.

Attendees will get a chance to revel in a vibrant atmosphere filled with captivating performances, delicious local cuisine and various activities for all ages. Whether you’re a music lover, a foodie or someone looking to immerse yourself in the rich culture of Eswatini, the Makoti Festival has something for everyone.
