MBABANE – South African Amapiano pioneer DJ Maphorisa and Danya Devs are confirmed to headline the upcoming Ladies Night event at Mdzimba View Shisanyama.

Scheduled for April 2, 2026, the organisers have designed this edition of Ladies Night as a cross-border musical showcase. The lineup is led by DJ Maphorisa, born Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, who remains a central figure in the global rise of the Amapiano genre. He will be joined by Danya Devs, whose recent work on the track ‘Umuzi WeGlass’ has gained significant traction across regional airwaves and streaming platforms.

Danya Devs established his reputation through the success of Blaq Diamond, a group known for fusion hits that blend Afro-soul, Maskandi and UmBhaqanga.

He has successfully transitioned into a solo career while maintaining his affiliation with the duo.

Maphorisa’s career spans multiple genres, including House, Gqom, Afro-pop and Amapiano. He is widely credited with bringing Amapiano to an international audience, particularly through his Scorpion Kings collaboration with Kabza De Small.

In addition to production and DJing, he performs as a vocalist under the stage name Madumane.

The headliners will be supported by a full roster of local talent. The line-up includes Sgitha, AyaCity, Lady Zee, Tilungu, Culolami, Obsession, DJ MBO and DJ Bloss.

Historically, Mdzimba View has utilised its Ladies Night and Simple Saturdays franchises to host high-profile artists. Previous performers at the venue include Scotts Maphuma, DJ Tira and Da Mabusa.
