MBABANE – From the streets of Soweto to the hills of Malkerns, Nobantu Vilakazi is set to bring her unmistakable energy to the MTN Bushfire stage this year.

The dynamic vocalist, performer and cultural force has become one of South Africa’s most compelling new voices, fusing Afropop melodies with the hard-hitting rhythms of Amapiano and delivering them with infectious stage presence.

Vilakazi’s rise has been swift but earned. Her breakout track Zama Futhi, has amassed millions of streams across platforms, resonating with listeners drawn to its blend of melodic hook and dancefloor drive. It is a sound that moves both the body and the soul, a balance that has come to define her work.

Collaborations with some of South Africa’s biggest names have further cemented her reputation, showcasing her versatility and her ability to hold her own alongside established acts.

Born and raised in Soweto, Vilakazi channels the township’s musical heritage into a contemporary sound that feels both rooted and forward-looking. On stage she is bold, vibrant and impossible to ignore, commanding attention with a mix of rhythm, attitude and vocal power.

Her performances are built for live audiences, where her charisma and movement translate the studio recordings into something electric and immediate.

This year’s appearance at MTN Bushfire is expected to be one of the festival’s standout moments. Festival-goers can anticipate a set full of momentum, colour and pure kinetic energy, as Vilakazi brings her catalogue to life in front of an international crowd.

The performance is supported by Eswatini Beverages under their Corona brand, aligning the singer’s vibrant artistry with the festival’s spirit of creative expression and cross-border cultural exchange.
