MBABANE – Kufeziwe Communications has launched a talent search for 12 backing vocalists to perform alongside local acts slated to support Dr Tumi.
The Gospel event is scheduled to take place at the Mbabane Alliance Church on July 5, 2026. According to the organisers, the production requires a balanced vocal ensemble consisting of four altos, four sopranos and four tenors.
To select the final group, Kufeziwe Communications will host live auditions on June 6, 2026, at the Manzini Arts and Culture studios.
Aspiring vocalists across the country, who wish to participate, are required to register before attending the session. The registration process will officially close on June 5, 2026, at 5pm.
Kufeziwe Communications stated that the core objective behind this recruitment drive is to discover fresh talent. The agency emphasised that securing new faces and a new sound is the primary drive for both the auditions and the upcoming live recording.
Some of the local acts that will be backed by the top vocalists include Linda Dlamini, Zama Mabuza, Sphiwo Ndoni and other acts.
The initiative aims to provide a platform for undiscovered artists to showcase their skills on a professional stage, while injecting a distinct musical perspective into Dr Tumi’s established performance repertoire.
Interested singers are expected to prepare vocal demonstrations that showcase their range and adaptability within the specified vocal parts. The selected 12 vocalists will immediately enter intensive rehearsals following the auditions to prepare for the main event in July.
