Unemployment is often discussed through the lens of economics and statistics, but the psychological toll it takes on the individual is frequently left in the shadows. Recognising this critical gap, Love Your Mind, a mental health awareness programme founded by Sisekelo Nkosi and co-founded by Simangaliso Gama, is hosting a transformative empowerment session designed specifically for young people navigating the ‘dark space’ of joblessness.

The organisers believe that unemployment is a significant ‘mental health shaper’ that can fundamentally alter a person’s character and outlook on life. This upcoming event seeks to move beyond traditional job-seeking advice, focusing instead on comfort, hope and the internal work required to maintain resilience during difficult times.

High-Calibre Speakers

The session features a diverse panel of experts who will approach the challenges of unemployment from multiple angles:

Rejoice Ndzinisa: A professional linguist and Christian spiritual leader, Ndzinisa will provide a deep, empathetic dissection of the mental challenges associated with being out of work. Her dual expertise offers a unique bridge between spiritual guidance and the power of language in shaping our mental reality.

Tebesutfu Mngomezulu: she will be bringing a modern, practical perspective Mngomezulu is an HR expert and prominent socialite. Her ‘vibrant’ energy and deep understanding of the professional landscape provide attendees with insider knowledge on the human resources space, coupled with the social savvy needed to navigate today’s world.

Why you should attend

If you are a young person feeling the weight of the job market, this session is a safe harbour. Attendees will benefit from:

Professional guidance: Direct access to HR and linguistic experts.

Mental support: A shared space to realise you are not alone in your struggles.

Holistic insight: Perspectives that cover both the spiritual and the professional aspects of your journey.
