Since its founding in 2023, Lumi Health has been a trusted partner in Eswatini’s private healthcare sector.

Initially focused on billing and debt collection for private doctors, as well as consulting services, the company quickly established itself as a reliable player in the industry. Over the past three years, Lumi Health has grown steadily, building strong relationships with healthcare providers and refining its expertise in operational and administrative support.

Now, Lumi Health is proud to announce a bold new chapter: The launch of Lumi Health Assist, a dedicated medical tourism branch designed to connect Mozambicans and other Southern African neighbours with Eswatini’s private hospitals.

The timing of this initiative is no coincidence. Over the past decade, Eswatini’s private healthcare sector has undergone rapid development.

The country has seen a notable increase in the number of specialists, the introduction of advanced medical technologies and the expansion of private hospital facilities. Today, Eswatini’s private healthcare system is widely regarded as capable of competing with South Africa’s private sector in terms of quality and expertise.

This transformation has created fertile ground for medical tourism. Patients from neighbouring countries are increasingly seeking alternatives to South Africa, where costs are higher and waiting times longer.

Partnering with

private hospitals

Lumi Health Assist is partnering with most of Eswatini’s leading private hospitals to provide access to a wide range of specialist treatments and surgeries.

Patients will be able to benefit from expertise across multiple fields of medicine, including:

Orthopaedics – advanced surgical care for bones, joints and musculoskeletal conditions.

Urology – specialist treatment for urinary tract and male reproductive health.

Gynecology and Obstetrics – comprehensive women’s health and maternity care.

General Surgery – a broad spectrum of surgical procedures performed by experienced teams.

Ophthalmology – eye care and corrective surgeries to restore vision and improve quality of life.

These partnerships ensure that patients referred through Lumi Health Assist will receive care from trusted institutions with proven track records.
