Mother’s Day is a special occasion celebrated around the world to honour the love, sacrifices and strength of mothers.

It is a time to appreciate the women who nurture families, shape communities and inspire generations with their unwavering care and devotion. The Bible highlights many mothers who played significant roles in God’s divine plan and whose lives continue to inspire believers today.

One of the most remarkable mothers in the Bible is Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Her obedience and humility made her a vessel for God’s purpose. In Luke 1:38, Mary declared, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” Hannah is another powerful example of a praying mother whose faith brought forth the prophet Samuel after years of barrenness. Her story reminds us that persistent prayer and faith can bring forth blessings even after long seasons of waiting.

The Bible also reminds believers to honour mothers. Exodus 20:12 says, “Honour your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” Proverbs 31 further celebrates the virtue and strength of a godly woman.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day this year, Worship Centre warmly invites everyone to the Mother’s Bright & Beautiful Super Sunday:

Date: Sunday, May 10, 2026

Time: 10am – 12:30pm

Hosted by: Apostle Justice Dlamini and Pastor Zandile Dlamini

This special celebration will honour and appreciate all mothers for their love and dedication. All are welcome to attend this uplifting and memorable service.

Mother’s Day is more than a celebration, it is a reminder of the priceless value of mothers in society and in God’s kingdom. Let us continue to honour, support and appreciate every mother for the incredible role they play in our lives, remembering Proverbs 31:28: “Her children rise up and call her blessed.”

Join us as we celebrate mothers who embody faith, strength and love, both in scripture and in our daily lives.
