MBABANE – Eswatini artist MCO Jamrock, fresh off his triumph as one of the top three winners of the 2026 MTN Bushfire Firefly competition, is taking his next major leap as a recording artist.
The local act has announced an exclusive listening session for his upcoming Extended Playlist (EP), titled ‘Indvodza Yimali’, scheduled for tomorrow at the American Corner in Mbabane.
The event marks a key milestone for MCO Jamrock, following a landmark year in his music career. In April, MCO Jamrock delivered a performance at House On Fire during the ninth edition of the MTN Bushfire Firefly Grand Finale, earning top honours alongside fellow artists. The victory secured him a performance slot at the 2026 MTN Bushfire Festival, mentorship with Kingdom XLR, a recording package and a full scholarship from the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology.
Structured conceptually around themes of financial accountability, societal pressure, ambition and identity, ‘Indvodza Yimali’ showcases MCO Jamrock’s evolution as a lyricist and performer. Known for his blend of contemporary African sounds, the upcoming EP dives into personal narratives and broader socio-economic realities facing Eswatini’s youth.
In an interview elaborating on the EP, MCO Jamrock mentioned that the listening session will feature six songs, all recorded in siSwati.
“All the tracks are about the struggles and situations a man faces when it comes to money. And it being about having hope always and not to give up as a man,” he said.
