MBABANE – The Eswatini Praise talent search competion has recorded an incredible 279 entries for their competition.

The Eswatini Praise director, Sipho Makhabane said that they had already started going through the videos and are eliminating some. “The number of entries received is quite impressive and overwhelming at the same time. Eswatini is really talented and I would like to commend all entrants for giving it a shot. Some of the judges and I have already started picking our best videos and our top 100 will be engaged in due time,” he said.

The Gospel legend further stated that if an entrant sent a video without following proper guidelines, those videos were given less priority. “By next week I believe we will be done with the top 100 chosen contestants. If you do not receive a call from us it will mean that you did not make it through,” he said.

Big Fish reaffirmed his commitment to helping nurture the talents of the young people that have joined this competition. “I would first like to thank our sponsors including the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture for their unwavering support. The availability of the Manzini recording studio shows just how things have been made easier for the youth. I remember back then in my time, we used to sleep in kombies and search for recording labels in Joburg,” he said.

Big Fish also added that they will then embark on their journey of searching for talent that may not have access to smart phone to be a part of the competition.

Eswatini Praise is a platform dedicated to discovering, nurturing, promoting and branding talented artists. Local Eswatini citizens that are interested in joining the competition should record themselves singing any song that will show their vocal ability that and the clip should be a minute long.
