Autofin Ford Eswatini has rallied its clients, staff members and community partners behind a food collection drive aimed at supporting families facing food insecurity. The initiative forms part of Ford’s global food drive, with Autofin Ford Eswatini joining efforts to combat hunger and make a meaningful difference in communities.

To date, the dealership has collected more than 400kg of non-perishable food items, with the donations set to benefit 25 families in need. Autofin Ford Eswatini’s Nkhosingphile Hlatshwayo said the initiative was driven by the belief that every family deserves to have food on the table. “We believe that every family deserves to have food on the table, and through this initiative, we hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families within our community,” Hlatshwayo said.

Community comes together

The food drive has received support from clients, employees and various community partners, whose contributions have helped the dealership move closer to its target.

Among those who extended their support to the initiative are:

  • Ngwenya Wonfor and Associates
  • Mbabane Panel Beaters
  • Capital Motors
  • Tupp Africa
  • RDR.

Hlatshwayo expressed appreciation to everyone who has contributed, noting that every donation has played a role in building the collection. “Every donation, regardless of size , brings us closer to our goal and helps us make a positive impact,” she said. The collected food will be distributed to 25 families, providing them with essential supplies while also sending a message of care and solidarity from the wider community.

Building together

The initiative is part of Autofin Ford Eswatini’s broader commitment to giving back and making a difference beyond its dealership. Through the food drive, the dealership hopes to not only provide practical assistance to families, but also encourage more people and organisations to play a role in addressing food insecurity. Hlatshwayo said the initiative reflected the dealership’s commitment to ‘Building Together’ and strengthening the communities in which it operates. As the food drive continues, Autofin Ford Eswatini is encouraging the spirit of giving that has already helped it surpass the 400kg mark, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the 25 families receive meaningful support.
