MBABANE – South African music sensation MaWhoo delivered an unforgettable masterclass in live performance on October 2.

She set Mdzimba View Shisanyama completely ablaze during The Richmonalisa Live Eswatini.

Stepping onto the stage at 1:30 amaccompanied by her two energetic dancers, MaWhoo immediately captured the room’s energy, proving once again why she remains a dominant force across the regional music scene.

From the moment she emerged, the vibrant atmosphere and electric synergy between the artist and her audience signaled that this would be a night to remember.

Delivering a powerhouse setlist, MaWhoo tore through a string of crowd-pleasing anthems including ‘Amazwe’, ‘Ngilimele’ and ‘Bengicela’.

However, the undisputed pinnacle of the night arrived with the performance of her recent release, ‘Distance’, a collaboration with South African artist Lwah Ndlunkulu that carries distinct Maskandi vibes.

Embracing the traditional rhythms, MaWhoo danced like a true Bhinca, prompting an overwhelming response from the audience. Fans sang along to every single lyric as they captured photos and videos of the mesmerising performance.

Following her stellar set, MaWhoo reflected on her profound connection with her supporters in the kingdom. In an exclusive post-performance interview, she shared her deep appreciation for the local energy: “I really enjoyed the crowd, they were amazing. Every time I am in Eswatini everyone feels happy, am always meeting beautiful souls here in Eswatini, I am the Richmonalisa you know the story,” she said.

The night at Mdzimba View Shisanyama builds seamlessly upon her remarkable momentum in the region, following her previous headlining appearance at the Farmers Market in 2025.

With every performance, MaWhoo continues to expand her cultural footprint, blending modern hits with traditional spirit.

The Richmonalisa Live was not merely a concert, but a vibrant celebration of music and unity, cementing MaWhoo’s legacy as a true icon of Southern African entertainment.
