MBABANE – Former Malanti Chiefs head coach Sreten Pavlovic has been appointed head coach of Botswana Premier League giants Township Rollers on a season-long contract.

The club, popularly known as Popa, announced the Serbian tactician’s appointment in a statement dated October 18, 2026.

Pavlovic brings international and regional coaching experience to the Botswana outfit, having previously managed teams in South Africa and Eswatini. He was in charge of Malanti Chiefs last season.

His appointment comes as Township Rollers seek to revive their campaign, with the club sitting 11th in the FNB Premiership standings on five points after five matches.

According to the club, Pavlovic is renowned for his tactical discipline, structured approach and emphasis on player development.

He has been tasked with guiding the Gaborone-based side towards domestic glory in the Botswana Premier League while pursuing success in all cup competitions.

Club chairman Thapelo Pabalinga expressed confidence in the new coach, saying the club had sought a tactician who shared its winning mentality, tactical acumen and ambition.

“We are confident that his experience and dedication will bring out the best in our squad as we chase our goals this season,” Pabalinga said.

Pavlovic, meanwhile, expressed delight at joining one of Botswana’s most decorated clubs, highlighting its rich history, passionate supporters and winning culture.

The Serbian said he was eager to work with the players to build a resilient and exciting team capable of delivering success for the club’s supporters.

His arrival marks a fresh chapter for Township Rollers as they look to improve their league position and strengthen their challenge for domestic honours this season.
