MBABANE – Fans will enjoy free entry to watch Eswatini take on Algeria, but there is a catch.

The two nations will lock horns on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at the Somhlolo National Stadium in the second round of the 2027 TotalEnergies CAF Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Eswatini set up the clash against the North African powerhouses after brushing aside Malawi 2-1 on aggregate in the first preliminary round.

According to a statement released by Eswatini Football Association Marketing and Communications Manager Muzi ‘Rhoo’ Radebe, admission to the match is free. However, interested supporters must secure their complimentary tickets in advance via the Carrot Tickets digital platform.

“Eswatini takes on Algeria in the first leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Under-23 AFCON Qualifiers 2027 and your support is needed,” reads part of the statement.

The statement also revealed that supporters can claim their free tickets through the Carrot Tickets platform at www.carrottickets.com or by scanning the QR code on the official match poster.

“Let’s fill Somhlolo National Stadium and rally behind our young Sihlangu as they take on Algeria,” added the statement.

The second leg will be played five days later in Algeria, with the kick-off time and venue yet to be confirmed.

The winner on aggregate between Eswatini and Algeria will advance to the third and final qualifying round in March next year to fight for a spot in the eight-team final tournament, which will be hosted in Egypt. The tournament also serves as the qualification pathway for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
