Build it develops future Sihlangu stars – Essa

MBABANE – Build it Director Sam Essa shared that the Build it tournaments have and continue to develop the senior men’s national team’s, Sihlangu, players.

He made the observation this past Saturday during the 2025 Build it Under-13 National Championships, which was held at the Somhlolo National Stadium and featured a city rivalry final between Mbabane and Manzini.

Manzini beat Mbabane 4-1 in the final, while also bagging all the available individual awards to cap a great run in the 2025 campaign.

Meanwhile, Essa, in his brief remarks during the prize presentation, began by expressing his gratitude to all their partners for the development competition.

“Firstly, I want to thank the Ministry of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs and the press. This is development for Under-13 football in Eswatini, which has developed players for Sihlangu,” remarked Essa.

It is also worth mentioning that Build it has dispersed E200 000 just in bursaries since its inception in 2005.

On the other hand, the Under-13 Build it national squad was picked on Saturday, which is made up of players coming from eight different towns.
