SITEKI – The January transfer window is nearing with buzz of potential moves amid a high-profile player’s ‘break’ from team duties.

With the second window registration period opening on January 8, clubs are gearing up to make their moves. One key player on the spotlight is Nsingizini Hotspurs talented and highly-rated versatile defender Kwakhe ‘Stopper’ Thwala. As per impeccable sources, the latter is set for a shock exit from the club to a team outside this country’s borders. However, the exact team’s name remained scanty at the time of compiling this report. Thwala is rated as the most expensive player in Nsingizini’squad for this season. His value is estimated at 75 000 Euros (over E1 million) as per Transfermarket. Transfermarkt rates players according to their performance over a certain period. Experts say this rating plays an influential role in negotiating players’ price tags during transfers.

Thwala was not present when Mandla Qhogi’s charges held firm to a scrappy 1-0 win over Sisonkhe at KaLanga Technical Centre this past Sunday.

Impeccable sources confided to this publication that he was being seen around his home area at the same time Nsingizini played their game. Notable, from next month, only six months will be left until his contract expires.

The left-back has previously been linked to Zambian powerhouse ZESCO United. However, the deal collapsed, with reports suggesting his price tag had been placed too high for the Ndola giants. His name further made headlines for a possible move to South Africa’s Betway Premiership outfit Durban City. However, that agreement reportedly did not see the light of day then.
