EZULWINI – Ezulwini United have received a major mid-season boost following a generous donation of equipment and supplies from Koma.
The MTN Premier League ‘surprise package’ were presented with warm-up kits and a substantial supply of water, collectively valued at E26 000.
The donation is aimed at motivating the squad in the quest for glory this season.
The contribution, which includes kits worth E6 000 and a hydration package valued at E20 000, comes at a crucial time as the club looks to maintain its competitive edge ahead of Sunday’s clash against Moneni Pirates at the Mavuso Sports Centre.
Speaking during the presentation at Mdzimba View, which was attended by Club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sonkhe Kuhlase, Head Coach Musa Manyatsi and the players, Koma Managing Director (MD) Bonkhe Motsa expressed his delight at fulfilling a promise made to the ‘Stingers’.
“We had promised to provide the team with warm-up gear and match-day water to motivate them to either win the league or, at the very least, secure a top-four finish,” Motsa said.
He further revealed that through collaboration with Mark Swag International, a local company, they were able to manufacture 35 Koma-branded warm-up kits.
“The total sponsorship is valued at E26 000, with the water alone costing E20 000,” he added.
Accepting the donation, Kuhlase thanked Koma for delivering on their promise.
“This will go a long way in motivating the players ahead of our next game against Moneni Pirates,” Kuhlase said.
He further assured their partners that the team remain committed to winning, promising to double the score against opponents they have already defeated them in the first round of the MTN Premier League season.
It is worth noting that Ezulwini United are currently occupying position four on the table with 26 points in 14 matches. They are trailing log leaders Nsingizini Hotspurs by five points.
