GET your farm boots ready because the Royal Eswatini Sugar Corporation (RES Corp) will be opening its gates at 10am sharp as it will host its annual 4th edition bid, grin and win event on Saturday August 2, 2025. Last year’s auction saw over 100 cattle going under hammer and this year, farmers must get ready to be captivated by a diverse herd of 50 cattle that will take centre stage at this week’s auction. The cattle include cows and heifers which are Brangus and Nguni breeds.
Cattle viewing began on Monday July 28, 2025; this is where prospect bidders have gotten the chance to view the cattle from 10am to 4pm daily, until auction day, so they are able to get a view of the cattle that will be on offer. The auction event will be held at RES Corp’s Livestock and Game offices (Iysis) at Tjaneni and there is a refundable pre-registration fee of E3 000, payable to Eswatini Auctioneers who will conduct the proceedings of the auction as duly instructed by RESCorp. It is worth mentioning that at last year’s auction, from the 100 cattle on offer, RESCorp raked in over E1 million. The highest sold at that auction was a Brangus Bull, which fetched E65 000 from a reserve price of E29 000.
Whether you’re a seasoned buyer or a novice looking to venture into the cattle indus¬try, this auction promises to be an excellent opportunity to acquire quality livestock. The range of cattle available ensures that there will be options to suit various needs and preferences.
