Every Christian’s journey starts with a moment, an encounter that marks the turning point between life before Christ and life in Him.
Today, Sisekelo Nkosi, shares how a dramatic event in high school opened his eyes to the reality of God’s power and led him to a life-changing decision to follow Jesus.
“It was the year 2014, and I was in Form I in high school, just a young boy attending the usual school assembly. I had no idea that what I was about to witness that day would forever change my life and start my personal journey with God.
extraordinary
“During the assembly, something extraordinary and terrifying happened. A fellow student suddenly began experiencing a demonic attack. I had only ever seen such things on television, and honestly, I thought it was an act, I thought scams set up by pastors to attract attention and grow their following. But that day, I saw it with my own eyes.
“The student started to move like a snake and speak evil things, clearly overtaken by something dark and unexplainable.
“And then it happened again. Twice in one week. That week shook me. It awakened a deep awareness in me: If evil is this real, then Heaven must be even more real. The fear I felt pushed me to seek shelter, to seek the truth. It had been nine months since I had last gone to church, but that Sunday, something drew me back. I knew I couldn’t delay any longer.
“That Sunday, I walked into church and gave my life to Christ. Since then, my journey with God has been nothing short of amazing. In the good times, He has been incredibly good and in the difficult seasons, He has remained faithful, strengthening, sustaining and loving me through it all. My walk with God hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been powerful. I’ve witnessed my family being protected from countless traps of the enemy. I’ve seen curses and generational cycles broken in my life.
Where there was once confusion, I now live in clarity. Where there was bondage, I now live in freedom. I can confidently say I live a liberated life in Him. This journey is not just something I look back on with gratitude; it’s something I live every day with joy and purpose. And it all began with one encounter that opened my eyes to the reality of God’s presence and power.”
