MBABANE – MTN Premier League giants Mbabane Highlanders President Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize has officially unveiled the club’s new technical bench to supporters ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The announcement was made during the capital city side’s Homecoming party held at the Prince of Wales Sports Ground recently. The event drew a strong crowd of club patrons, supporters and players.
The South African businesswoman tasked General Manager (GM) Richard Makhobe with introducing the new management team, which carries a strong Premier Soccer League (PSL) influence.
Heading the technical setup is former Mamelodi Sundowns scout Floyd Mogale. Mogale, who brings extensive PSL experience from his time at Black Leopards, Chippa United, Free State Stars and Royal AM, will be assisted by former Moneni Pirates Coach Thembela Dlamini.
Former PSL goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo, who played for South African giants Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, joins the setup as goalkeeper coach. Percy Shongwe takes over as physical trainer, while Phumlani Motsa has been appointed kit manager and Kenneth Gama will serve as club secretary. Makhosonkhe Gama retains his role as team manager.
Makhobe also introduced several key signings, headlined by former Royal AM player Sabelo Shezi and ex-Mbabane Swallows goalkeeper Bongiswa ‘Romario’ Dlamini.
Speaking at the event, Mkhize confirmed the club’s traditional identity remains central to their campaign.
“We are happy to unveil our three kits for the upcoming season, Mkhize. We have reintroduced the black and white kit to promote unity, as I value a united family,” Mkhize said.
Highlanders will wear the traditional black and white strip in their opening match of the E3 000 000 8Bet Trade Fair Cup against Ubombo Sugar on Sunday.
