MBABANE – Eswatini Senior Men’s National Team, Sihlangu Semnikati shotstopper Qiniso Nyawo has been put on the transfer list along with two other players by their team, Moneni Pirates.
Pirates this evening, Thursday, August 27, 2026, announced the news regarding the trio through their Facebook page.
“Mabhakaniya take note. Moneni Pirates FC wishes to confirm that Phila Dlamini, Vukile Khumalo and Qiniso Nyawo have been placed on the transfer list with immediate effect and are officially available for transfer,” the Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala-coached side stated.
Worth noting is that Nyawo was the Buccaneers’ first-choice goalkeeper last season. It was also his maiden season with the Moneni ‘Buccaneers’. There was a twist, however, only for the final few matches of the season played after the March FIFA Men’s International Break where Ghanaian shotstopeper Bernard Ayikwei was on the post.
However, it was during the past season where the shotstopper shone in his football career. Nyawo, who has played for all three of Eswatini’s traditional ‘big thee’ clubs—Mbabane Highlanders, Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Wanderers; was selected by Coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane into the final Sihlangu squad that faced Eritrea earlier this year.
He eventually became the first-choice goalkeeper during the two-legged CAF Africa Cup of Nations preliminary round qualifiers where Eswatini were eliminated by Eritrea.
On another note, Khumalo was the Sea Robbers’ regular starter at left-back. The workaholic defender, who boasts similar credentials to Nyawo, was one of the fans’ most cherished players with proficient overlapping skills, the ability to deliver pinpoint crosses and trusted with Pirates’ dead-ball situations, especially penalties.
Meanwhile, Dlamini left the Moneni-based outfit midway through the season and joined Ezulwini United.
These three players who have been put on the transfer list are on the verge to join four other players who have officially left the club. These are Mthobisi ‘Mvala’ Zwane, a centre-back, who joined Nsingizini Hotspurs;
Innocent Pakule, a central defensive midfielder who also joined Nsingizini Hotspurs; Reagan Kangumbu, a defensive midfielder who is back at Manzini Wanderers; as well as
Bi Zahi Herve, an Ivorian striker who has not yet resurfaced at any club.
Equally, the team has also recruited some top talent, including Ncomo Gina, a midfielder signed from Mbabane Swallows.
