MBABANE – At 10 Eswatini clubs will travel to Lesotho this weekend for the Redskins International Volleyball Tournament, which runs from Friday September 18 to Sunday, September 20, 2026.
The figure has been confirmed by the tournament organisers, Redskins Volleyball Club, who have published the full list of teams competing in both the men’s and women’s divisions.
While women’s sides make up the majority of the Eswatini contingent, some of the country’s leading clubs, in both divisions, have registered for this three-day showpiece.
The teams are:
1. Zakhele Volleyball Club
2. Phoenix Volleyball Club
3. Correctional Sunrise Women’s Club
4. Correctional Sunrise Men’s Club
5. Eco Water Men’s Club
6. Eco Water Women’s Club
7. Bob Cats Women’s Club
8. Scorpions Volleyball Club
9. Royal Warriors Men’s Volleyball Club
10. Royal Warriors Women’s Volleyball Club
The trip comes after Redskins’ visit to Eswatini at the end of June 2026 for the Scorpions International Volleyball Tournament.
Stakes are high, with the champions set to pocket E5 000. The runners-up are set to pocket E3 000 while the bronze medallists will become E2 000 richer. The most valuable player award carries a prize of E1 500.
The tournament will be staged at the Lehakoe Sports Facility in Maseru. More than 20 teams have already been confirmed, including strong teams from Botswana and South Africa as well as clubs from the host nation.
Competition will follow a format of pool stages leading into knockout rounds, with fixtures determined by draws and seeding.
