MBABANE-Local independent Gospel music minister Simiso Simelane has officially released his full-length album, titled Springs of Life 2.
The seven-track project marks a major milestone in Simelane’s artistic and spiritual journey, serving as a direct continuation of his music ministry following the release of his debut project, ‘Emtfonjeni Wakhe’, in 2022.
Anchored in the biblical scripture of John 7:37-38 which calls upon those who thirst to come and drink the central theme of the album points listeners to Jesus Christ as the ultimate source of spiritual fulfilment.
“In a world where people look to different things for fulfilment, this project seeks to direct people back to Christ, who remains the same Source in times of abundance and in times of lack. My desire is for the music to go beyond entertainment and point people to the truth of the Gospel”, he said.
The album features a blend of traditional hymns and fresh compositions. Each track contributes to a unified narrative detailing Simelane’s personal walk of faith, while extending an open invitation to those seeking a deeper connection with God.
Reflecting on his growth as an independent artist over the past four years, Simelane noted that the new body of work represents both progress and purpose.
“Releasing this album is a reminder that the journey is not only about gaining recognition or growing an audience; it is also about being faithful to the message I have been entrusted to share. It is so fulfilling to lay out everything with the help of God’s people. It stands as evidence of God’s faithfulness and the support we have received”, he said.
With Springs of Life 2, the Gospel minister hopes to expand his reach beyond local borders, open doors for international opportunities and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of Gospel music in Eswatini.
