MBABANE – The Divine Artists Drama Lab has announced its inaugural Theatre Showcase.

This will be during a public celebration of the achievements of its first cohort of aspiring actors. This highly-anticipated event will feature 20 emerging talents who have completed a three-month intensive training programme, culminating in a series of captivating performances. The showcase will be held at the Mbabane Theatre Club on two separate days to accommodate audiences. The first performance will be hosted this Friday, August 15 at 2pm and the second will be hosted on Saturday, August 16 at 9am

The programme, which ran over weekends, kicked off with a major highlight a week-long acting masterclass in April conducted by legendary actor Dr Jerry Mofokeng wa Makhetha.

His mentorship provided an inspiring foundation for the students, who began with little to no acting experience. They will now deliver a diverse mix of monologues, two-handers and short plays.

“We’ve watched these 20 individuals transform, and their commitment has been truly remarkable,” says Divine Artists Founder Dzelisile Mdluli.
