MANZINI – It ended in silverware.
Mbabane Jazz and Amazons claimed victory at this year’s MulaSport Basketball Trade Fair tournament, dominating their respective finals on the court.
Mbabane Jazz outplayed Manzini SuperStars 78-66 to clinch the men’s title at the Mavuso Sports Emporium this past Monday. The champions walked away with E7 000, while runners-up SuperStars pocketed E4 000 and Zim Zim earned E1 000 for securing third place. In the women’s division, Amazons triumphed over Lioneers Dunkylaine, winning 47-26 in the decider match. They claimed E7 000, with runners-up Lioneers Dunkylaine taking home E4 000, and Lady Jazz earning E1 000 for the bronze medal.
The Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards went to Jazz’s Olwethu Nkosi in the men’s section and Amazons’ Sabusiswa Shabangu in the women’s section. Each received E1 000 for their outstanding performances on the hardwood.
