Thaifo Son secures spot on Aubrey Qwana’s album

MBABANE – ‘Badede’ hitmaker Thaifo Son will feature on South African musician Aubrey Qwana’s upcoming deluxe album.

This was revealed by the musician during an interview with this publication, where he also revealed that he was recently locked in a studio with the South African musician.

“It is highly possible that I become part of the album. We were in a studio with Aubrey during the past two weeks in South Africa. We did multiple songs, which I think all of them might feature on the album. There were also other rising musicians who showcased good talent from South Africa and they are also featured on the songs we did with Aubrey Qwana,” he said.

Aubrey Qwana is featured on Thaifo Son’s hit titled ‘Badede,’ which also features a talented musician who is also part of True Classic Cool Drop, Mr Kangaroo and Dreamy Kins.

The song amassed over 200 million views and 500 000 creations on TikTok. It has also garnered audiences from all over the world, having peaked at number 126 on the Shazam Global Top 200 charts, becoming one of the most Shazamed songs in the world.

Other streaming milestones include over 300 000 streams on Spotify, over 100 000 streams on Apple Music and over 300 000 streams on YouTube to name a few. When asked how meeting Aubrey Qwana has helped him as well as his career, he revealed that he has learnt a lot.
