MBABANE — Eswatini’s Under-20 Women’s team will face South Africa tomorrow in a crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier, with free entry for all supporters.
The nation’s football fans are being urged to pack the Somhlolo National Stadium at Lobamba for a pivotal clash in the 2026 International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Under-20 Women’s World Cup African Qualifiers.
The Eswatini Under-20 Women’s National Team will host South Africa tomorrow, at 3pm, in the first leg of their second-round tie.
This match is part of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) qualifiers, where 38 teams are competing across four knockout rounds for four spots at the tournament in Poland, which is scheduled for August 2026.
South Africa, who were seeded and given a bye in the first round, now face Eswatini in tomorrow’s clash, with the second leg scheduled for September 26, 2025.
A victory for Eswatini could propel them to the third round against the winner of the Togo or Tunisia versus Ghana tie in February 2026, bringing them closer to a historic qualification.
The Eswatini squad has been in a rigorous training camp for the past two weeks, honing their skills ahead of this high-stakes encounter.
