Injuries rock Nsingizini before CAF decider

MBABANE – Ahead of a crucial clash, five Nsingizini Hotspurs players will miss a chance to showcase their talent in the continental showpiece, CAF Champions League.

These are winger attacker Sinenkhosi ‘China’ Dlamini, Mncedi Mkhonta, defensive duo of Thando Langa and Mncedisi ‘Mphotho’ Dlamini, have short- term injuries, while Mpendulo ‘Phumba’ Dlamini is still nursing a long-term injury.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) Mnotfo Dlamini confirmed the developments.

“Only five players have not travelled with the team, some due to injuries,” he said.

The Shiselweni-based outfit have entrusted a reduced 20 troops this time around led by Head of Delegation in Manzini Region Football Association (MRFA) Chairman Vusie Hall. The chairman doubles as the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Executive Board member.

The team left Eswatini yesterday morning for Oliver Tambo International Airport, where they then connected to Dar es Salaam.  The stage is set for a monumental TotalEnergies match this coming Sunday at 3pm, as Simba SC prepare to host Nsingizini Hotspurs.
