MBABANE – The first 100 supporters to enter the Mavuso Sports Centre today will receive special gifts from the league sponsor, MTN Eswatini.

The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) is hosting a ‘Y’ello Sunday double-header; the first fixture, between Mbabane Swallows and Royal Leopard, will act as a ‘curtain-raiser’ for the main event of the day, which sees Manzini Wanderers take on Mbabane Highlanders at 4:30pm.

This was revealed by MTN Eswatini’s representative, Phasha Dlamini, during the pre-match briefings for the double-header, held at Sigwaca House on Thursday. The event was attended by the teams’ coaches and captains, though Royal Leopard were not represented.

Dlamini urged football supporters to fill up the Mavuso Sports Centre, noting that the first 100 to arrive will receive special gifts, courtesy of the sponsor.  “We have a special gift for the first 100 supporters to arrive on Sunday at Mavuso Sports Centre,” Dlamini stated.

He also encouraged supporters to make use of the MTN stalls that will be set up at the venue for various services, such as purchasing airtime and updating their KYCs (Know Your Customer) details.

PLE Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat ‘Kungumusa’ Vilakati thanked MTN for renewing the sponsorship deal of E22.5 million to run for three seasons. The champions for the 2025/26 campaign will be awarded E1.1 million.

Meanwhile, the PLE extended their gratitude to former MTN CEO Wandile Mtshali for his invaluable contribution to the advancement and professionalisation of football in the country.
