MBABANE – The MTN Premier League action heats up this weekend with a mouth-watering line-up of fixtures across the country.

Mbabane Highlanders, fresh from a 2–2 draw against Manzini Wanderers, make the trip to Pigg’s Peak for a tricky away clash against an in-form Malanti Chiefs outfit who are unbeaten in four matches.

Highlanders themselves are three games without defeat and will be eager to snatch maximum points and keep their momentum rolling. The sides last met in May 2022, when they served a six-goal thriller that ended 3–3. Sunday’s showdown at Killarney Sports Ground promises another explosive encounter.

Meanwhile, the ever-popular Mavuso double-header headlines Saturday’s action. Log leaders Mbabane Swallows face Ezulwini United in the first game at 3pm, before Moneni Pirates lock horns with high-flying Rangers in the late kick-off at 5:15pm.

Elsewhere, all eyes will be on the Manzini derby, as Manzini Sea Birds take on Manzini Wanderers at Simunye Stadium. Both sides have struggled for consistency and will be desperate for three points — and the all-important local bragging rights. Kick-off is 3pm.

Up north, Royal Leopard host Tabankulu Celtics at Mkhuzweni Stadium in another 3pm clash. The police side will be looking to climb the table after a slow start, while Celtics will be hoping to return to their winning ways following back to back to defeats.

At Mayaluka Stadium, Ubombo Sugar welcome Green Mamba in what promises to be another tight affair.

Down south, Nsingizini Hotspurs take on Amawele at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium, also at 3pm. Hotspurs have been in red-hot form and will look to make it three league wins on the spin.

Wrapping up the weekend, Sisonkhe entertain Young Buffaloes at Kalanga Stadium on Sunday at 3pm.
