MBABANE – South African Amapiano heavyweights Jazzworx and Thukuthela, delivered a high-octane performance for ‘The Ultimate Shutdown’ show, leaving a capacity crowd buzzing on November 21.
The event, masterminded by Next Gen Events Eswatini, was anything but a quiet creep into the weekend, featuring the electrifying duo alongside South African Amapiano artist GL Ceejay.
Jazzworx and Thukuthela proved their sonic invasion, a signature blend of Amapiano, Afro House and their celebrated ‘3-Step’ sound. The crowd, a diverse mix of dedicated music lovers and curious first-timers, was in lockstep with the acts.
Hits like ‘uMoya’, ‘Thando Lwakhe’ and the viral sensation ‘uValo’ became collective anthems, sparking huge sing-alongs and frenetic dance energy that did not let up until the final beat.
The South African heavyweights were not alone. The Ultimate Shutdown lived up to its name by featuring an impressive roster of local finest DJs, who provided rock-solid support and ensured the energy never dipped. The local line-up, which included Virus, Tap Tap, Lady Zee, Bandora, Obsession and many other DJs, ensured the dance floor remained a non-stop spectacle.
This show proved Mdzimba View Shisanyama’s status as a premier entertainment destination, as they have been hosting South African celebrated artists from the beginning of the year, such as Scotts Maphuma, Makhadzi, DJ Tira, Dladla Mshunqisi, Thatohatsi, Damabusa among other artists.
