MBABANE – A new broom could be coming in to do the sweeping at the Eswatini National Petroleum Company (ENPC).
Reliable sources have confirmed to this publication that seasoned executive and Eswatini Water Services Corporation (ESWC) Chief Operations Officer, Nontombi Maphanga is earmarked for the hot seat at the ENPC.

When it comes to the appointments of CEOs for parastatals, the minister makes the official announcement.
Efforts to obtain a comment from Maphanga were not successful, as her cellphone number rang unanswered when called yesterday.
On the EWSC website, Maphanga is branded as a highly educated liSwati who holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil Engineering) and a Master of Business Administration.
The website details that Maphanga joined EWSC as a Hydraulics Engineer in April 2006 and was appointed a member of the EWSC Strategy Implementation Team thereafter.
In November 2008, she was appointed to the EWSC Executive Management Team as Technical Services Director.
In her previous engagements, she has held the posts of Chemist (Quality Assurance) at Coca-Cola Eswatini and Project Coordinator for a water and sanitation NGO.
She is a member of the Eswatini Association of Architects, Engineers and Surveyors and the International Water Association (IWA).
She has served as a Board member for Lidwala Insurance Company and the Town Planning Board under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
Once confirmed, she will take over from former CEO, Nhlanhla Dlamini, who left the parastatal at the end of April this year.
Currently, the ENPC is under the leadership of Candy Stromvig, the General Manager Operations, who is the Acting CEO.
