MBABANE — Sancheziey’s star-studded remix of the hit track ‘Siyabonga Gogo’ has surpassed the 21 000 views mark on YouTube.

The milestone, achieved in just a matter of days, following its release on December 20, 2025, underscores the song’s impact as audiences embrace the new version. The remix was recorded at the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) studios in Manzini on the night of December 9, 2025.

Sancheziey, often referred to by fans as Salukazana, executed a masterclass in collaboration.

By bringing together the legendary Lodanda, whose return to the recording booth comes after a decade-long hiatus, alongside Young Zesh and the harmonies of the Limkokwing Choir, the vision was to expand on the original work.

Sancheziey expressed his excitement about the song making waves. “This matches the commitment I and the team put into making this remix. The research put together to get the artists who will match the energy, on its own, is something else. The investment made by the production team both for visuals and music production is indeed paying off. I pray this becomes the crossover song and looking at the reaction of emaSwati, it is promising,” he said.

What sets the ‘Siyabonga Gogo’ remix apart from the original song is the inclusion of the Luveve instrument by Mabhodweni and the ‘Bujaha vibes’ provided by Ulaka Lebhubezi. The track serves as a sonic representation of Eswatini’s heritage. Sancheziey explained that the collaboration emanated from preparations for the Limkokwing University graduation. “The choir made the song sound different in a very beautiful way. I also thought of the legendary Lodanda, with no idea how can I even get to her, cause I only knew her music not her.

The collaboration with her has always been a pending dream, and thank you to Lindelwa Mafa for connecting my team with her for negotiations. The last time she was in a booth was 2015, that on its own is everything to us having to introduce her back to the music scene.

Lodanda brings an emotional touch to the song that will take every listener to moments with their grandmother. Lastly, we have Young Zesh on the song, my brother is having serious musical run in the country. He added the fashionable Hip Hop flows while in line with the beautiful culture of ‘Kucelwa’,” he said. While the original version of the song sits at over 65 000 views, the remix is currently performing well with views surpassing 21 000 on YouTube.
