MBABANE – Miss South Africa 2025, first runner-up Luyanda Zuma, has revealed how she was left in awe of the country’s cultural richness.
The beauty queen took to her Instagram pages to show some beautiful images she captured during the Incwala Ceremony that she got to experience first-hand. “My heart is leaving Eswatini full, the cultural significance of Incwala was truly felt. I even had the honour of meeting His Majesty King Mswati III,” read her post.
The caption was accompanied by some beautiful pictures that the beauty queen took during the Incwala Ceremony, held earlier this week. Zuma has been praising the warmth that she has been receiving ever since she arrived in the country as a guest of Inkhosokati LaNgangaza and Princess Temaswati.
The 23-year-old from Pietermaritzburg is no stranger in the industry as she is former SMag cover star and secured a thrilling role in the South African series, ‘Shaka iLembe’, as Liyana. The ‘Shaka iLembe’ actress found her time back home in KwaZulu-Natal to be quite eventful. Her character, Liyana, who is King Shaka’s love interest in the historical, award-winning drama series, was the subject of many inside jokes during her visit.
Zuma also mentioned how a gift from Inkhosikati LaNgangaza was her second highlight of the day. ”Adding onto the highlights of my day was Her Royal Highness Queen LaNgangaza, who made me feel completely at home. She topped up my traditional outfit with the most beautiful neck pieces, a heartfelt gift just before I left. I am still in awe of the richness of the cultural experience I was blessed to be immersed in,” she mentioned.
