MBABANE- Eswatini professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini has missed the cut for the first time this season.
The Dutch Ladies Open, a tournament boasting a total prize purse of E6.6 million, is currently being hosted in the Netherlands. Dlamini finished at eight-over-par following two rounds of play, resulting in an early exit from the event.
This conclusion is particularly notable, as it marks Dlamini’s first missed cut in seven consecutive appearances this year, a streak that spanned both Ladies European Tour and Sunshine Ladies Tour fixtures.
While Dlamini has departed the field, the leaderboard remains tightly-contested. Currently, South Africa’s Lee-Anne Pace holds the lead at eight-under-par, with challengers including Aunchisa Utama of Thailand and Avani Prashanth of India and Dorthea Forbrigd of Norway all tied at eight-under-par.
Despite this recent result, Dlamini’s season remains strong, highlighted by three recent top-five finishes: A tie for fifth at the Jabra Ladies Classic as well as a tie for fourth both at the Standard Bank Ladies Open and the SuperSport Ladies Challenge.
