This year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair has proven once again that agriculture is at the heart of Eswatini’s growth story.
From new innovations to visionary projects and farmer-focused solutions, the agricultural sector has come out in full force to showcase just how much potential lies in the soil of the kingdom.
At the centre of it all is the Ministry of Agriculture’s Pavilion, a vibrant hub where different departments are on hand to engage with farmers and the public.
Here, visitors can access information on support programmes, new opportunities in farming and ongoing projects that continue to shape the sector. On Monday, Minister for Agriculture Mandla Tshawuka personally toured the pavilion, stopping by several stalls and commending the dedication of teams working tirelessly to strengthen food security and rural livelihoods.
Among the standout displays is Eswatini Water & Agricultural Development Enterprise’s (EWADE) Mpakeni Visionary project, a forward-thinking showcase that highlights sustainable farming practices and future-focused agricultural development. Stop by EWADE’s stall (between Pavilions 5 and 6) to experience their VR booth and see the real-time stunning holographic 90ha view of Mpakeni Dam’s progress and how it is driving precision agriculture through cutting-edge tech. Discover smarter farming, bigger yields and sustainable growth.
Agriculture at the trade fair doesn’t stop there. Across the grounds, leading companies and organisations have set up dynamic stalls to connect with farmers and the public.
The National Maize Corporation (NMC) in Hall 1 is inviting the public to come and learn more about white maize and bean production in Eswatini, explore the services offered by NMC, engage directly with their Farmer Development Officers and how they support local farmers with maize and beans production across Eswatini. You can also purchase products at special trade fair prices.
Pelum Eswatini is promoting ecological land use practices, Farm Chemicals is supplying essential inputs and Eswatini Cotton Board is showcasing opportunities in cotton production, the diversity is impressive.
Each stall has something unique to offer, creating a one-stop space for agricultural growth and partnerships.
